Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
This on-going class provides learners with the opportunity to keep read and discuss with peers modern and relatable books that they might not encounter in their English class. Each of these middle-grade books features an empowered female protagonist.

This group will be teacher facilitated (certified English teacher) discussion group where we will talk about what we liked most about the current novel (or what we didn't like!). Discussions will involve connections to the novel and the real world (past or present events) and how this story offered a fresh/new/different perspective.

Supply List
Students should have a copy of the weekly book in any format (electronic or physical copy). These books can often be obtained from local libraries.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
