There will be a total of 5 Meetings for One Week. . The topics covered will be important concepts in Lifesciences I will be using Google Slides, Videos, Lectures, White Board and Projects to teach Lessons. In this Class, students will study all the important Science Concepts required for the Middle school students to prepare for High school science courses. This is a 5 day Summer Camp and covers important State Standards from Middle level Science Courses. All Sessions will be interactive and students will also get to participate in Quizzes and other Online Assessments. Students will be allowed to also raise hand and ask questions for better clarity. I am a Certified Science Teacher for Texas, Virginia and South Carolina, still working in a Public School in Texas. This class will help students strengthen their conceptual knowledge in Science and prepare them better for High School Science. I will teach each Topic during one Meeting and provide notes and videos for the topic so that students can practice at home. The Schedule for the Meetings is provided below: Meeting 1: Cell biology : Meeting 2: Genetics Meeting 3: Organization of Human body Meeting 4: Anatomy Basics Meeting 5: Adaptation and Evolution
Learning Goals
1st Meeting- Students in this class will explore the time line of cell theory, Eukaryotic
and Prokaryotic cells, Cell organelles and their functions and how plant cells are different from animal cell on first day.
2nd Meeting- Students in this class will learn important genetics vocabulary and Practice problems in Genetics using Punnett Square
basics.
3rd meeting- Students learn the fundamental levels of organization in the Human body with examples.
4th meeting- Students will learn about the important human body systems like Digestive ,Respiratory ,Circulatory systems and how they
work together
5th meeting- Students will learn about different Plant and animal adaptations and how evolution has occurred.
