It is my pleasure to have the opportunity to work with you and your favorite student(s). I have over 20 years of teaching experience, from Pre-K through Graduate School. I am a former Professor and was the History Department Chair /History teacher at the High School Level for 10 years. My teaching certification was in Middle and High School History. I currently practice Criminal and Family Law Part-time and work Part-time as an "Academic Floater". In other words, wherever the District needs me I teach, sometimes long term in the classroom. I have learned so much spending many years in multiple educational settings. I also take students and parents overseas on Educational Tours and have been blessed to travel to such places as China, Japan, Mexico, Paris, Rome, and Greece.

My teaching style is varied. I try to use as many techniques and learning styles in each of my classes as possible. My two youngest children are Neurodiverse. Working with my own children has taught me that education must be personalized to each learner for maximum impact. I encourage all students and their parents to contact me so that we can tailor each of my classes to your strengths and those skills you hope to work on the most. Please note that I will allow higher level students who are underage in my classes, or older students who have difficulties in class that are more suited to their level. Please contact me to discuss. I look forward to meeting you all.
Homework Offered
There is homework in this class. It is up to the parent if they would like the student to do in-class work only or to do the supplemental readings, handouts and assignments. My goal is to make this fun for your learner but to have them walk away from the class with a deeper understanding of this time period.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Assessment is based on parent request. This can be in traditional letter grade form, or the class can be audited. Please contact your local school district to see how this class will fit into your curriculum. If documentation is needed, please let me know before class starts so I can make sure I can accommodate.
