Middle or High School Science Tutor-Four Sessions
This is a one on one consultation session to meet the needs of the student for four consecutive sessions. This can be great for private classes where students prefer to be the only student or for private tutoring.

Beginner Level
I am able to tutor the following: Biology -Ecology, Cells, Genetics, Heredity, Botany, Animal Phyla Advanced Biology consists of the Human Body -all body systems Life Science Earth Science Physical Science NOT Physics -motion, matter, energy, simple mechanical equations, etc Basic Chemistry such as atom structure, periodic table, pH, simple equations. I have found that many students have difficulty finding resources on how to solve their problems involving Science homework or how to study for tests. I've also become aware that writing lab reports or coming up with a science fair project can be mind boggling at times. My job as a consultant is to break it down for the student into small bite size steps whether it is a worksheet, test or project. I will also offer videos that can explain difficult concepts for them. I enjoy doing comparative studies using Venn Diagrams A few examples: Prokaryote vs Eukaryote Mitosis vs Meosis Invertebrates vs Vertebrates This helps the student visually recall the material. I enjoy using visuals and models to make concepts easier to understand. I may use videos, lecture, games (like Jeopardy), microscopic slide Diagrams or sketches to sumplify information. I can orally quiz students on material and find the gaps in their learning. Then suggest a strategy to understand the material. I want Science to be enjoyed. When a student sees a problem solved from a different view, it can ease their stress level and make learning Science more enjoyable. Many times I find that building a students confidence is best done by equipping them with learning techniques. Once they understand they can confront anything that comes their way.

Students will learn what they have inquired the teacher to assist them with homework, reviewing tests, presentations, science fair projects, or lab reports.

I am a Secondary Certified Teacher with a lifetime certification in Education. My major is Biology and my minor is Art. I've been teaching Earth Science, Life Science, Health, General Science, Physical Science, Biology, Advanced Biology for over thirty-five years to middle and high school students worldwide. I've taught in public, private, Montessori, and homeschool groups. I am CPR certified.
I was a moderator of the annual Health Fair and Science Fair for several schools. With this expertise, I feel I am more than qualified to tutor your child. I enjoy teaching.
