In this ongoing course, students will play a variety of games covering skills from 5th-6th grade that also appear in 7th grade math curriculum.

In this math games class we will focus on math skills that start to show up in 5th grade math and continue being used throughout 6th and 7th grade math. An example of topics that will be covered include: Writing Equivalent Ratios Solving 1 step equations Solving Proportions Converting between Percents/Decimals/Fractions Solving Percent Problems Converting Measurements I will take suggestions from the learners for topics each week and then we will put them into a spinner. The spinner will determine the topic for that week's class.
Learning Goals
Students will improve on a different middle school math topic each week.

Converting Measurements
Percents/Decimals/Fractions
Simplifying linear expressions
Solving one and two step equations
Measures of a circle
The math of triangles
