Students will: 1.Enhance their approaches to learning from instruction in quantitative/science courses, particularly for solving novel problems by becoming more skilled readers, note-takers, and strategic learners. 2.Expand their toolbox of methods to solve problems by becoming more skilled at explicitly thinking about their reasoning processes, and developing strategies that work for them. 3.Develop systematic methods for learning from problem sets, including: how to apply and transfer conceptual knowledge; identify common obstacles and errors; and contextualize individual problems within the themes and concepts of the course.
I am a level 2 certified teacher in New Mexico. I have a Masters degree in Education and a Masters degree in Exercise Science. I have been a teacher for 4 years. I am certified to teach all secondary science courses (grades 6-12): biology, life science, earth and space science, physics, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, environmental science, etc.
Homework Offered
Students may bring existing homework to the session. Tips or resource sheets may be given as optional out-of-class studying help.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Any homework which a learner wishes to go over or an idea on what part of science that they wish to cover must be sent 24-48 hours in advance. Pencil/other writing tool Paper Calculator If applicable to what will be covered in the session, a Google, Word, or other form of writing document.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
