This one-time class is for learners who have some understanding of Microsoft Word but would like to learn more. We'll create a mock essay to practice formatting, proofreading, and inserting pictures, headers and more.
Class experience
During this class, students will learn the basic functions of Microsoft Word and get hands-on practice. We will begin by briefly discussing real-world uses for Word. We will then quickly dive in and begin using the program. In this class, students will create a mock research paper. We'll start with a blank document so that students will get practice with all elements of creating the document. I have enjoyed teaching on Outschool for over a year now, but prior to that I enjoyed a thirteen-year corporate career, where I used Microsoft Word to create documents on a regular basis. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration.
Students should have Microsoft Word on their computer or laptop prior to starting class, so they can use the program and follow along as I teach the class.
