Understand the importance of Font Styles and Document Formatting to see how they can help us for developing school papers. Also, learn how to create a Table of Contents. We will also look at advanced features of a Table - changing text direction; sorting; merging/split on a table; creating equations in Microsoft Word; and convert text to a table. We will also sort lists, create a watermark, use text boxes, create Word Art, insert and format shapes, use SmartArt. Explore the techniques and then in the second class, practice your skills by creating a project using all the concepts.learned but with your own content.
Learning Goals
Students will learn advanced formatting techniques to incorporate into paper writing and fun design techniques to use in creative projects for school as well.

Hi everyone! I have 18+ years of teaching experience at the college level. I have owned my own business consulting company for the past 18 years, working in it full-time for the past 8 years. I specialize in teaching computer software, especially accounting software, Microsoft Office and basic computer skills. I also developed and taught a specialized Call Center training focusing on business communications such as Telephone Skills, E-mail Communications and Interpersonal Communications. I believe in sharing real-life examples and having interactive classes. Students learn best often in small groups and with the ability to draw from the experiences and knowledge of others.
