This one-time class will teach the basics of Microsoft PowerPoint. Each learner will create a presentation about themselves in order to learn how to create, edit and format slides. We'll add animations and transitions to slides.
Class experience
During this class, students will learn the basic functions of Microsoft PowerPoint and get hands-on practice. We will begin by briefly discussing real-world uses for PowerPoint. We will then quickly dive in and begin using the program. In this class, students will create a presentation about themselves and their interests, while making sure not to reveal personal information like their towns or gaming handles. I have enjoyed teaching on Outschool for over a year now, but prior to that I enjoyed a thirteen-year corporate career, where I often used Microsoft PowerPoint to create presentations. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration.
Students should have Microsoft PowerPoint on their computer or laptop prior to starting class, so they can use the program and follow along as I teach the class.
