Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Private Tutoring

𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺!  𝘚𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘦.  𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬.

This is a one-on-one, private tutoring session for students who would like to learn more about using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. I can tailor the session(s) to your learner's specific needs, whether they have never used Excel or are more advanced. The session(s) can be designed to teach specific skills or can be in reference to a specific project.

I will share my screen so students can watch me using the program as I describe its functions.  Students should have Microsoft Excel on their computer prior to starting class, so they can use the program and follow along as I teach the class.  If a student does not have Microsoft Excel, we can use Google Sheets, which is a free program online. Students will be able to share their screen to ask questions and share their work.  

Students do not need any experience with Excel or Google Sheets, but should have basic desktop or laptop knowledge, such as the ability to use a mouse, use a keyboard and open a program.

𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:
•	Vocabulary (cell, column, row, worksheet, formula)
•	Organizing data
•	Auto-populating cells
•	Gridlines
•	Formatting cells (color, dates, time, currency and more)
•	Formulas (Sum, Average, Count, Max, If Then, Sum If, Count If, Vlookup and more)
•	Pivot tables
•	Graphs, including bar, pie, and line graphs and more

Projects can be already started or one that is created as part of this session. Ideas include:
•	Budget
•	Schedule
•	To-Do List/Project Tracker
•	Sortable/Filterable Database/List

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀:
Occasionally, learners may need additional help in completing a task. I am able to give students the ability to share their screen so that I can see exactly what they are looking at. Usually, this works very well, and I am able to talk them through the task. (If the learner is using Excel or Google Sheets on a separate device than their Outschool class, they can point their camera at their Excel screen, if the camera is moveable.) If the learner is still not able to complete the task, I am able to explain how to grant me remote access so that I can complete the task for them and then have them try it again.
