During this class I will teach students how to build and modify charts using Microsoft Excel. Learning topics include: Review of Excel Basics, Types of Charts, Building Charts with Adjacent Data, Building Charts with Non-adjacent Data, Modifying Charts, Using the Chart Tools Contextual Tabs, and Printing Charts. Upon enrollment, students will gain access to Excel learning files, the lesson presentation, and an optional learning activity. During the lesson, I will explain each skill, provide a demonstration, then give students time to try the skill on their own as they create and modify a chart. Students will need access to Microsof Excel (any version 2010 or newer. NOTE: if using the 365 version of Excel you may not have acccess to all Excel options) and they should know the basics of Excel: opening, closing, saving, identifying colunms, rows and cells, and selecting a range of data.

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet developed by Microsoft for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. It features calculation or computation capabilities, graphing tools, and pivot tables. Excel is part of the Microsoft Office suite of software.
