I have my BS of Science in Biology, which included studies in Histology and Microbiology. I have taught microscopy within High School Biology Lab setting at local Co-op, as well as on-line through the Outschool platform. Personally I am an ever curious Biologist - I've studies mammalogy, marine biology, ornithology, microbiology, and more. In my classroom I encourage my students to explore and follow there curiosity, ask questions and find answers. I enjoy incorporating traditional learning with technology, helping students gain a deeper understanding material in practical ways.

Compound Microscope **(~$100 for basic student microscope on Amazon or similar site) Basic Biology Slide set Recommended: National Geographic -Mega Biology Set (with Learning Guide) - should include - human skin & tissue, muscles & nerves nutrient processing systems - stomach, kidney, pancreas, small intestine - plant parts - mold & algae **Students planning more in depth study of microbiology are encouraged to get a larger slide set for Biology - these often include human tissue, animal tissues, insects, plants coming in sets of 60/ 100/ 120 slides.
If learner is new to microscopy - I will offer a brief getting to know your microscope video/ session prior to start of first class. Slides are made of glass, parent supervision at parent discretion.
