In this 60 min class, students will learn the iconic choreography to Michael Jackson's song "Thriller".
Class experience
It is never too late to learn the iconic moves to Michael Jackson's song "Thriller". No prior dance experience required. All you need is a willingness to learn and a desire to move. Steps will be broken down for easy comprehension and repeated for retention. We will start class with a warm-up to get our bodies moving and muscles ready. I am a freelance choreographer that has been teaching dance to "non-dancers" for over 20 years. My background as taken me from theme parks, to show choir camps, to the circus. Locally, I travel to various high schools in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area to teach choreography in class, or after school, for their JV and Varsity choirs. I look forward to sharing my passion for moving with you!
Because this is a movement class, a dance space free and clear of objects is necessary to avoid injuries. For this particular dance, you will need about 3-4 feet of open space in all directions (front, back, left, right). Closed toed shoes with a heel are highly encouraged. Please have water available to drink as needed throughout the class. We will do a warm-up at the beginning of class and a cool down at the end of class to make sure our muscles are stretched and ready to go. Feel free to do additional stretching as needed based on the individual student's personal needs.
