Class Experience

Learners will improve their comprehension skills and engagement on Ancient Mexican pyramids through self-paced lessons.
I am an experienced educator who has taught at nearly every level of instruction from pre-k to college level! My very first job out of high school was as a bilingual instructional aide for the Head Start program in my city. I currently teach undergraduate students who are preparing to become K-12 teachers.
I earned a bachelor's degree in Chicano/Latino Studies and also hold an advanced degree (Master of Arts) in Chicano/Latino Studies. I have taught undergraduates in the field of Chicano/Latino Studies since 2009.
All homework and activities will be posted in the Outschool classroom.
Informal assessment and personalized feedback will be provided to each student upon submission of their 3-3-3 sheet.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
As an expert in this field, I will provide multiple perspectives that highlight the contributions of Mexican history.
Other sources to provide multiple perspectives include the following books:
Occupied America by Rudy Acuña,
The Chicano Studies Reader edited by Chon Noriega,
Borderlands/La Frontera by Gloria Anzaldúa,
History of the Conquest of Mexico by Prescott, William H.
