Class Experience

I am an experienced educator who has taught at nearly every level of instruction from pre-k to college level! My very first job out of high school was as a bilingual instructional aide for the Head Start program in my city. I currently teach undergraduate students who are preparing to become K-12 teachers.
I earned a bachelor's degree in Chicano/Latino Studies and also hold an advanced degree (Master of Arts) in Chicano/Latino Studies. I have taught undergraduates in the field of Chicano/Latino Studies since 2009.
For learners who would rather not draw, a template will be provided upon enrollment with two different styles of axolotls to color and decorate. Learners who choose to free draw their own axolotl, please make sure your learner has paper (drawing paper or any paper will do) and a pencil, eraser, crayons, or markers.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The Mexican Axolotl, Ambystoma mexicanum: Its Biology and Developmental Genetics by George M. Malacinski
History of the Conquest of Mexico by Prescott, William H.
As an expert in this field, I will provide multiple perspectives that highlight the contributions of Mexican history.
