Science is about exploring, experimenting, asking questions, and having fun! In this class, your student will do all of the above. We will be learning about how matter behaves through fun activities and chemical reactions. Students will learn about interactions between different substances. Concepts covered: - chemical reactions - states of matter - density - surface tension
1 file available upon enrollment#1 - Colorful Volcanoes Small glass or cup, vinegar (1 cup), baking soda (1 to 2 tablespoons), and food coloring. #2 - Lava Lamp Small glass or bottle, water, vegetable oil or other oil (1/2 cup), food coloring, and Alka Seltzer tablet. #3 - Pepper Trick Bowl or deep dish, water, black pepper, and soap. #4 - Oobleck Dish or large plastic ziplock, cornstarch (1 cup), water (a few tablespoons), and something to stir with. #5 - Oobleck Stressball Balloon and funnel.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
