We will welcome one another to our circle-time with a warm-up song to get our wiggles out, and then settle in to explore preschool-based concepts. In each class: -Numbers are addressed in our calendar work, which also includes days of the week and months of the year. -We'll review our ABCs, as well as highlight a Letter of the Day. - A concept of the day will be highlighted through a story, interactive game and/or worksheet that brings the skill to life in a fun way. Preschool Concepts including: Counting, ordinal numbers, colors, shapes, letter and letter sounds recognition, and fine motor skills. Building self-confidence and communication skills in speaking and sharing within a small social setting.
Have these items on-hand: -paper and provided worksheet as needed -pencil, crayons/markers -a hard surface to write on (table, clip board, etc) -items to use for counting (blocks, small toys, etc) -occasionally we'll need space to move around
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
