In this fun, interactive art class, students will first listen to an exciting fictional story about how to catch a mermaid. Then, students will learn how to draw a beautiful mermaid in a step by step, directed drawing art lesson. Breaks will be given throughout the class for students to ask questions, get encouragement on their work, and share their progress. At the end of class, students will listen to mermaid songs while starting to color their own unique mermaid drawing.
White paper, pencil with eraser, crayons and/or markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
