Description
Class Experience
Students will demonstrate reading comprehension through learning games. Students will respond to the text and deepen comprehension by connecting important themes in the book to their own lives. This will take place through the Quote of the Day. Students will extend tier 2 vocabulary from the text through engaging games Students will improve fluency through reader's theater Students will create hands-on projects and participate in kinesthetic activities to anchor their understanding of the story's events.
Approximately 30 minutes (3 chapters) of reading each night Pre-Camp assignment: Chapters 1-3 Week 1 homework: Chapters 4-5 Week 2 homework: Chapters 6-7 Week 3 homework: Chapters 8-9
