Merlin Mission #1 Christmas in Camelot: A Magic Treehouse Camp
In this 5-day language arts camp, we will embark on a quest to save Camelot from the spell of the Dark Wizard through fun crafts, active games, art, reader's theater, vocabulary games, a quote of the day and our imagination!

Description
Class Experience
Students will respond to the text and deepen comprehension by connecting important themes in the book to their own lives. This will take place through the Quote of the Day. Students will extend tier 2 vocabulary from the text through engaging games Students will improve fluency through reader's theater Students will create hands-on projects and participate in kinesthetic activities to anchor their understanding of the story's events.
Approximately 30 minutes (3 chapters) of reading each night Pre-Camp assignment: Chapters 1-4 Day 1 homework: Chapters 5-7 Day 2 homework: Chapters 8-10, optional: watch Disney's Sword in the Stone movie (1963) Day 3 homework: Chapters 11-13 Day 4 homework: Chapters 14-16, optional: watch the Quest for Camelot movie (1998)
