Description

Class Experience

Students will respond to the text and deepen comprehension by connecting important themes in the book to their own lives. This will take place through the Quote of the Day. 
Students will extend tier 2 vocabulary from the text through engaging games 
Students will improve fluency through reader's theater 
Students will create hands-on projects and participate in kinesthetic activities to anchor their understanding of the story's events. 
Approximately 30 minutes (3 chapters) of reading each night 
Pre-Camp assignment: Chapters 1-4
Day 1 homework: Chapters 5-7
Day 2 homework: Chapters 8-10, optional: watch Disney's Sword in the Stone movie (1963) 
Day 3 homework: Chapters 11-13
Day 4 homework: Chapters 14-16, optional: watch the Quest for Camelot movie (1998)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
