In this 4 week course learners will participate in a lively, interactive environment as they master several mental math techniques for Addition & Subtraction that are easy to learn, fun and entertaining. During the class, learners will have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate what they will learn. This class is designed to inspire greater interest in math and to build self-confidence. This class will meet once a week. Week1: Students will learn to master mental math strategies and techniques for Addition, then do practice pages on the operation. Week2: Students will revisit the strategies learnt previous week and practice the fundamentals to master those strategies for Addition. Week3: Students will learn to master mental math strategies and techniques for Subtraction,do practice problems on the same.They will then be given worksheets on Subtraction and addition combined to demonstrate their learning. Week 4: Students will get a mixed review of the concepts learnt in this 4 week week course and do practice pages to show mastery of skills. Please note, there are two Mental Math courses- Part 1(Focusing on Addition & Subtraction) and Part 2(Focusing on Multiplication & Division) courses are independent of each other and both and any can be taken first. This class is meant to be fun and entertaining along with learning some practical and most important Math skills.
