In this class, we will use different strategies to help us with mental math. Students will be shown different ways to do quick math in their head to make math easier. We will discuss place value, breaking a double digit number into tens and ones, and subtracting double digit numbers by 9. We will learn these strategies through the use of a power point, as well as many examples by both the teacher and students. Once a child has a good grasp on these strategies, they will see that it makes math a little less intimidating. I can't wait to see your child in class!
