In this ongoing book club, we will discuss all the books on the Mensa Excellence in Reading Grades 4-6 list. (Mensa membership not required.)
Class experience
US Grade 4 - 6
Learners are to read the book in its entirety before coming to class. We will not be reading the book in class, but simply discussing the book. This class will meet every other week. We will discuss one book per session. Learners do not need to attend previous sessions, as the classes do not build on each other. I have taught and tutored for about twenty years. I hold a current teaching certificate in K-8 elementary school, with a focus on math. I am halfway to my master's in secondary math. My son is a member of Mensa.
Homework Offered
Learners will be required to read the book in its entirety before coming to class. We will not be reading the book in class, but simply discussing the book.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

However, as we are not reading from the book in class, the specific version does not matter. You can find most copies available at your local library.

If you do not wish to participate in a particular book session, please be sure to withdraw from the class before Sunday, when Outschool renews your subscription.
