Greetings! All learners will need to download the free Roblox software/app, set-up their free Roblox account, send me a Roblox friend request, message me on Outschool privately to let me their Roblox gamer tag name (so I can accept their friend request) and adjust settings as described in classroom welcome message in order to join my private server for class time. I am a highly experienced and actively certified School Library Media Technology Specialist (PreK-12th grade), certified English Language Arts teacher, certified TVI, homeschool educator, and a Minecraft and Roblox gamer. I also have Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science: Education Curriculum and Instruction Visual Impairments degrees.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
*Roblox is played in this class. Download Roblox on your device for free, create a free Roblox account, and adjust settings as you prefer as long as the ability to friend and join a friend's private server are permitted. I give instruction on this in the classroom welcome message. Roblox gamer tag friending is needed for learners to join my private server. *We will be playing the free Roblox game called Mega Hide & Seek by Blox Games on my private server. *As a parent and an educator, I want to mention, that there are completely optional upgrades that may be purchased if you have a billing account connected to Roblox and your learner chooses to purchase them. Please adjust your settings to your preferences. I am not responsible for any purchases your learner makes if purchase settings are allowed on their account. I also recommend turning the chat setting off in Roblox for this game. I am not able to monitor a learner's private chat. * Please share that learners are not to message me or attempt game play with me outside of scheduled class time per Outschool policy. * The game will not run on my private server unless there are at least 3 players. If less than 3 learners enroll, I will contact you in advance and ask if you can help share about the class as I will be doing as well. I will be in close contact and decide how to proceed.
