This course provides valuable insights into engaging sensorial activities that enhance your childโ€™s understanding of the world around them.

We are proud to be the first and only accredited Montessori school on the Outschool platform, featuring certified teachers who bring their expertise from our brick-and-mortar school located in Ontario, Canada.

In this dynamic and interactive course, you will explore the Montessori approach to developing the five senses. We will cover foundational topics such as sensory vocabulary, how to use sensory experiences to learn about our environment, and how these activities serve as a precursor to geometry concepts. The course emphasizes how sensory exploration can build a solid foundation for understanding geometric shapes and spatial relationships.

The class is organized into weekly segments, each focusing on a specific sensory skill or concept. Each unit features detailed video content that explains the purpose of the activity, the materials required, and a step-by-step guide. These videos are designed to be both informative and engaging, ensuring that you can confidently guide your child through each activity. Additionally, some videos are paired with printable resources to support your practice and provide alternatives to traditional Montessori materials. Throughout the course, presenter tips are included to offer practical advice and enhance your experience.

Our videos demonstrate how to create Montessori materials using common supplies, eliminating the need to purchase additional resources. Students are highly encouraged to actively participate by reviewing the class content and applying Montessori methods at home, fostering a collaborative and hands-on learning experience that deepens understanding and engagement.

Our teaching style is fun, engaging, and productive. The self-paced format allows you to progress through the course at your own speed while incorporating dynamic and hands-on exercises into your childโ€™s learning routine. The videos and resources are crafted to provide a thorough understanding of each activity, helping you feel assured and prepared with these sensory experiences.

While the course is self-paced, support is readily available. Learners have the opportunity to book individual meetings with the teacher for personalized feedback, questions, or guidance. This ensures that you receive the support you need to effectively implement Montessori sensorial activities and maximize their benefits for your child.

By the end of this course, children are equipped to nurture sensory development using Montessori principles, creating enriching and enjoyable learning experiences that prepare them for future educational milestones. Join us in fostering your childโ€™s sensory awareness and laying the groundwork for their geometric understanding through thoughtful and engaging activities.
