In this interactive class, we will look at pictures of pangolins while discussing their characteristics including their unique body armor, their behaviors, the different types of pangolins, their habitat, their very strange digestive secrets, and more! We will explore the plight of the pangolin, and what efforts are underway to protect this incredible animal. Students will be encouraged to ask questions and participate in the discussion. We will play a game of Kahoot at the end of class. This class is relaxed, casual, and fun, as well as informative!
Learning Goals
1. Students will learn facts about the pangolin and the efforts so save it from illegal tracking.
2. Students will participate in a discussion about pangolins.
3. Students will test their knowledge with a game of Kahoot!

Parental Guidance
Regarding Kahoot!: Kahoot is a third-party resource. Learners are not required to set up an account to use Kahoot! They can play directly from their device. No secondary device is needed, and the Kahoot! app is not necessary. Kahoot! does not require users to provide their real names, nor does it collect or store personal information. Upon enrollment, I will provide a brief tutorial video on how to play Kahoot! in my classes.

As well as education, I studied biology in college. I taught science in the classroom for 21 years, then worked as the Middle School Science Specialist for the State Department of Education (Alabama) for 6 years before retiring to teach online. Biology fascinates me, and I love to share my enthusiasm with youngsters!
