Description

Class Experience

Have you seen a border collie work a flock of sheep? An Australian shepherd clear a runway of geese? These are jobs employed by members of the herding dog group. Come meet some of the more easily recognized members, as well as some not so familiar faces, of the AKC herding dogs. Students will learn through lecture, discussion, and  viewing pictures. We will discuss modern day herding jobs that these dogs do. Sports that herding dogs excel at will also be explored.  We won't have time to meet...
