Description
Class Experience
Students will learn about the role of Greek mythology in modern literature through the example of Poseidon
I have a degree in Classics and I am a qualified teacher. I have been teaching about the Greeks and Romans to students of all ages and backgrounds for more than 15 years. Please do not hesistate to get in touch if you have any questions about the potentially sensitive topics that we will cover.
All students will need for the class is thick pens (e.gr. felt pens) and paper.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Greek myths contain elements of violence and social behaviours that are far removed from our current moral and legal expectations. Students will have a chance to reflect on this and appreciate the changes of attitude that have taken place over time.
