In this exciting class, your student will watch our flock of Caribbean flamingos through our live HD cameras. Together, we will: -- Record observations about flamingo behavior via drawings and written notes -- Make estimates about how many flamingos we will see, and practice counting animals that move around a lot... just like scientists do -- Learn how flamingo feather colors and the shapes on their bodies help them survive in their habitat -- See how their food plays a special role in their famous coloration Students will be able to ask our expert instructors all of their bird questions. No previous knowledge is needed; just come prepared to learn and have fun! Please Note: In the nature of live cameras, sometimes the animals will not be in view. We will supplement with recorded footage of said animals whenever possible.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to name 3 body parts of a flamingo.
Students can describe one part of their body that helps a flamingo survive in their habitat.
