In this one time course, learners will develop their social skills with student-led discussions. We will use social stories to lead us into discussion on starting conversations with new friends. A safe and fun environment for all!

Making new friends can be a difficult task, especially for those with special needs. Understanding social cues and appropriate ways to communicate does not always come easy. This class is designed to provide a student-led discussions and develop our social skills in a safe environment. Leaners master skills by being hands-on and seeing what others do. I am certified to teach elementary special education and have my extension in Severe and Multiple Disabilities. I worked with students from all grades levels for the past four years.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
