Class Experience

-Alpaca Characteristics and Anatomy: Study the physical characteristics, unique features, and body parts of alpacas, helping children understand their distinct traits.
-Alpaca Behavior and Communication: Learn about alpaca social structures, communication methods, and interactions with humans and other animals.
-Alpaca Care and Husbandry: Teach children about the daily care routines for alpacas, including feeding, grooming, shelter, and exercise requirements.
-Alpaca Fiber and Products: Discover the fascinating world of alpaca fiber, its qualities, and the wide array of products made from it, such as clothing, accessories, and textiles.
-Alpaca Breeds and Colors: Introduce children to different alpaca breeds and their diverse coat colors, fostering an appreciation for the variety within the alpaca population.
Ms. Tirre', a dedicated educator, has been a resident and caretaker at Citadel Farm for seven years. The farm's alpacas, which were rescued, serve as beloved companions and valuable tools for teaching young farmhands how to care for and nurture pets while learning essential farm responsibilities. With a deep passion for science and education, Ms. Tirre' joyfully imparts her expertise to children, advocating for hands-on learning experiences. Having taught for over a decade, she firmly believes in the importance of engaging kids through practical, interactive education.
