Meditative Art Class for Kids: Abstract Drawing & Coloring, Learn to Relax
In this one-time course, students will get to relax and unwind with a Meditation-Based-Art experience. Abstract coloring and drawing is a good de-escalation process to help kids reset from hectic weeks and help promote health and wellness.

In this class, we will learn how to create abstract art with the purpose of relaxing, having fun, and meditating. Art is such a useful tool for expressing our emotions in healthy ways, processing our stress, and exploring our own creativity in the process. My teaching style is encouraging, kind, engaging, experienced, and immersive! No prior experience in painting or meditation is required, this is a beginner friendly course and everyone is welcome! Teacher Kate has taught professionally for over 12 years, with a Bachelor's in English, Arts, & Humanities and a Masters in Educational Psychology. She is also certified in meditation instruction.
No assigned homework.
Students will need either a physical paper (notebook, journal, sketchbook, construction paper, printer paper) with pens, markers, colored pencils or they will need a digital art form (iPad to draw on). Etc.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
