The best way to start a meditation practice is to be consistent, which is why we will meet for every day for one week! In this camp students will learn and practice a variety of meditation styles and breathing techniques. The class rhythm will start with our greeting time to check in, a mindfulness activity, breathing practice, and guided mediation story. The goal is to discover which meditation or breathing practice feels right for the individual student to achieve a natural feeling of peace and confidence in their lives.
I am a certified yoga and meditation teacher. I am currently enrolled in a graduate school program to purse a masters in social work.
The optimal learning environment is a quiet, comfortable space. Students may sit up or lay down for the meditation and breathing practices. I like to invite students to get cozy using pillows, blankets, or a stuffed animal.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
