US Grade 8 - 11
In this class we will be covering Medieval ghost stories from the contemporary (historic period) accounts through to the ones that have been written about over the following centuries about Medieval figures and places. Our stories will take place from 500 CE through to the 1500s. We will be looking at kings, queens, castles, and estates. These stories will be primarily coming from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Along with reading the contemporary accounts of ghosts from the period, we will also be exploring the facts and history behind the locations and ghostly figures. The class is taught in a lecture style with a Google slideshow. All period documents are printed on the screen for easy reading. No additional materials are needed by the students. All students are welcome to join in with the discussions that are held during the class, or they may just listen. Whichever is the most comfortable for them.
