Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a teacher with extensive experience, having taught elementary through high school. Most of my career has involved teaching Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Environment, but I have also taught Hebrew and Judaics. I enjoy baking, crocheting, and folk dancing, and have led groups in these activities, and I would love to teach them through Outschool, as well.
I like to share my knowledge and skills, and try to get my audience to think and develop skills so that they can become independent learners. Visuals and hands-on sessions are important. Although it is difficult to do the practical "labs" with distance learning, we can improvise with the materials that are readily available. I will be sure to give parents a heads-up as to what will be needed for future sessions, so that the children can be fully involved.
Looking forward to meeting you through the lessons.
