In this six-week class, children will learn Hebrew vocabulary and reading related to playing, eating, dressing, friends, and more.
Class experience
In this set, we continue with learning new letters and segue into reading more actual words, which we started in the first session. As we come across actual words in the primer, learners should write the their translation. Learners will conjugate verbs in the present tense according to the person or pronoun who is the subject of the action, using singular and plural, masculine and feminine. They will put together words into simple sentences, conversing about the weather, holidays, traveling,...
In general, the goals are to increase fluency in reading and build vocabulary.

Please purchase the reading primer, Derech Binah Reading Workbook, published by Behrman House (the smaller of the set). If you don't have it the first week, we can manage, but it would be much more comfortable for each learner to have his own copy. Other materials are pencils and erasers, paper, and sticky notes.
Holiday vocabulary includes artifacts used in and foods related to the holiday, and to seasonal words, rather than to religious terms. Stories are from children's books, "I Built a Tower of Blocks" and "Hello, Guest." Songs include "The Holiday of the Trees," "Purim, Purim, with Masks and Noisemakers," "Spring Has Arrived."
