In this class, you will watch a video of a vegan meal prep, then join a live Zoom class for a question and and answer section as you prepare your meal.

Class experience

Students will learn nutritional values of beets, carrots, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, olive oil, garlic, rice, and quinoa. 
Students will prepare a vegan meal with assistance from an adult. 
Students will build confidence by learning to cook a healthy meal. 
We are a very athletic family that eats a primarily vegan diet. I have been preparing vegan meals for our family for over a year now and have found some very simple family recipes that usually make everyone happy.
Grains: **Choose one**
1.Jasmine Rice (2-4 cups depending on your family size) 
2.Quinoa (2-4 cups depending on your family size)

2-3 Medium Beets
1 lb Brussels Sprouts (whole, not shredded)
**Choose Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, or both**
5 Large Carrots
3 Medium Sweet Potatoes

Cooking Oil:
Olive Oil, or your preferred cooking oil.

Salt or Sea Salt
Minced or Diced Garlic

Optional Topping:
Shredded Cheese (not vegan, but still vegetarian)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
A parent or guardian will need to assist with cutting and use of the oven. 
I will post an educational youtube video in the class discussion that describes the meal prep as well as nutritional values of each ingredient.
