Students will complete an informal assessment to check for their understanding of the material they’ve learned during the class (classroom performance of rhythms).Class Experience
This class will be centered around the basic music skill of RHYTHM. This expressive quality will be explained in detail and then students will be informally assessed to check their understanding of this quality. Even though we’ll be actively going through the rhythms together, I’ve made fun, engaging pre-recorded videos on my YouTube channel to help the students get a better understanding of each music skill. I’ll also set aside time for students to ask questions if they need any additional help. Students DO NOT have to have any musical experience to take this class. The class structure will go as followed: - CLASS INTRODUCTION AND RULES (5 Minutes) - RHYTHM (5 Minute discussion given by Mr. Moore) - CLEFS (5 Minute discussion given by Mr. Moore) - NOTES & RESTS (20 Minute class activity) - RHYTHM PERFORMANCE (20 minute class assessment) - CLASS CONCLUSION (5 Minutes)
