🧱 Class Overview: In this Minecraft Math Camp, learners will explore addition and subtraction through fun, interactive challenges in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Each day, students will embark on themed adventures like treasure hunts, redstone repairs, and math mansion builds—turning math into a hands-on, block-filled adventure! Each class includes a quick math warm-up, a guided Minecraft challenge, and time for sharing and reflecting on their creations. ✨ What Makes This Class Stand Out: Math + Minecraft: Students apply addition and subtraction in exciting in-game challenges, making numbers come to life. Creative Problem Solving: From fixing redstone circuits to unlocking treasure chests, learners practice math while solving creative puzzles. Collaboration & Confidence: Kids work together, share their builds, and celebrate their progress in a fun, supportive environment. Math Mastery: Students strengthen their addition and subtraction skills (within 20) while thinking critically and spatially. ⏰ Class Structure (55 Minutes): Welcome & Warm-Up (5 mins): Greet learners and introduce the day's math focus (e.g., addition within 20, subtraction with number bonds). Build & Play Session (35–40 mins): Learners dive into the day’s Minecraft challenge—whether it's fixing a redstone circuit, hunting for treasure, or designing a math mansion. Showcase & Reflection (10–15 mins): Students share their Minecraft creations, explain their thinking, and reflect on how they used math in their builds. 🎓 Teaching Style: I create a fun, energetic space where learners feel comfortable to explore, try, and learn. I guide students through each challenge, offer math support when needed, and encourage creativity and teamwork. My goal is to make math fun, approachable, and rewarding—one block at a time!

Learning Needs

Parental Guidance
This class uses Minecraft Creative Mode. Learners must have access to a Minecraft account ( Bedrock edition, as specified by the teacher). Parental assistance may be required to log in, access the correct world/server, or troubleshoot any technical issues.
In Minecraft world, learners may need to share their Minecraft Gamertag with the teacher to be invited to the session. This information will be kept private and used solely for class participation. Outschool’s safety guidelines are followed at all times.
Zoom will also be used for live interaction, so learners should be comfortable switching between Zoom and Minecraft during class.
Pre-Requisites
This class is perfect for learners who can recognize numbers and count up to 20. No prior experience with Minecraft is needed, but it’s helpful if your child knows how to move around and place blocks in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. If they’re
