US Grade Kindergarten
In this interactive Minecraft themed lesson students will practice their addition skills playing a math dice game. The students will be adding the dice, practicing their addition facts to twelve to progress in the game. The students will also have some practice subitizing as they play the game. The students will play together individually and/or as teams and learn to take turns. Students should know their numbers to twenty and be able to add numerals to ten as this class is to sharpen those learned skills. This class will be taught in a fun, playful, Minecraft themed setting that helps students to realize learning is fun! We will not be playing Minecraft in this class. This class is Minecraft themed only.
Learning Goals
Students will practice addition skills to 12 as well as practice subitizing their numbers.Other Details

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
In fact I believe in learning so much that I am always involved continuing education myself, whether it be in foreign language, improving my teaching techniques and even weekly public speaking classes.
I believe I have a LOT to bring to the classroom and I’m EXCITED to begin on this journey in learning with you! I hope to see YOU in my classroom soon!
