One day class, students learn how each digit in a numeral has two values. And how each value has ten times the place of the digit to its right and one tenth as much as the place value of the digit immediately to its left.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
What will be taught:
Students will learn the table showing the decimal system, how to write the decimal system. Students learn that numbers to the right of the decimal point are common fractions whose denominations are powers of ten. Such as 10, 100, 1000, etc. 
Students learn how is the decimal .25 read and value is written as 25 hundredths. 25/100.
Students will learn which fraction equals which decimals. Students learn decimals which to tof terminate or end can be written as a fraction. The student learns to write a decimal as a fraction as an easy way to read a decimal. 
The students learns to compare decimals in sizes, where students change each decimal to fraction they will see that it is easy answer for example: .09 = 9/100       .11= 11/100       Since 11/100 > 9/100, it follows that .11 >.09. 
Students need knowledge with fractions. 
Worksheets will be provided with answer key for extra practice and place value chart for decimals.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulties or logging onto zoom. Do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. Do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
