Math Tutoring - Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd Grade

Your child will receive individualized one on one instruction to ensure a thorough understanding of the Math concept(s) he/she is trying to grasp. This could be working towards achieving grade-level standards, working towards the next-level, or working on a concept they are struggling to understand completely. I can work toward whatever goal you and your child have in mind.

I have strategies and materials I can use to teach your child. I would also love to help them with whatever they may have from their school work, whether that be a homework assignment or worksheet.

If you have any worksheets that you'd like to share prior to class, please share them with me so I can work on them with your child. In order for me to best prepare my lesson with your child please tell me about his/her math background. For example, please tell me what grade he/she is in or heading into, what areas is your child strong in (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), what areas do you feel need more work, etc.  Additionally, what topic would you like your student and I to focus on during our lesson?

Here are some ideas of areas we can focus on based on grade level-
Pre-K : number recognition, number writing, counting 
Kindergarten : number recognition, counting, number writing, basic addition and subtraction
1st : counting, number writing, addition, subtraction, grouping numbers, representation of numbers in different ways
2nd : addition, subtraction, grouping numbers, basic multiplication, basic division
