1-2 hours per week. Homework is not mandatory although students need to practice solving math problems. Practice sheets are available upon request.Class Experience
US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 8
* This is an on going class and the topics will not build on the previous week, so you can join the class anytime. If you need to be absent please let me know by Saturday the previous week, and you will not be charged for that week, or we may be able to accommodate a transfer. We will not have a lesson on federal holidays. Please send a message if you would like a different schedule or a one on one class. I will check to see if I can accommodate. I try to be flexible. In this ongoing 1:1 tutoring class that will be customized for each learner. I can provide the curriculum, or we can work on the student's homework. Please send in your homework 24 hours before the lesson so that I will have time to prepare the lesson for you. Students will learn topics like additions, subtraction, fractions, decimals, algebra and geometry. Since this is a 1:1 tutoring class topics will be taught according to the learners grade level. The students will work on tutoring that is customized for them so there is no specific schedule. The curriculum will be based off grade and current level. Testing can be given to assess the child's level. I understand that math can be difficult and sometimes intimidating for students. I can try to bring out a love for math within the students. Additionally, math games might be played during some lessons if time allows. I am a passionate, kind, and fun teacher. Currently, I am teaching Math, English, ESL, Science and Geography for 2 schools, and it is the best job I could ever do! I can tell you that I absolutely love what am doing to help children reach their goals. Parents have given me only positive reviews, as well as all my students. The students love that they can understand the lesson material easily while enjoying my fun character. I have worked with Gifted and Talented, as well as special needs children. In my free time I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, legos, Pokemon and playing with the kids. My mission as a teacher is to help my students learn to love learning! See you in class!
