Progress Tracking: I maintain detailed records of each student's progress, which include their performance in assessments, homework completion, and participation in class activities. Parents are provided with regular progress updates. 6. Parent-Teacher Communication: I encourage open communication with parents and offer the opportunity for parent-teacher to discuss their child's progress and address any concerns or questions through the parent-teacher message portal on Outschool. I will also drop a note after each session to keep you updated on our class and progress. My assessment approach is designed to be supportive and informative, with the goal of helping students build confidence, improve their math skills, and reach their fullest potential in grades Kindergarten - Grade 6 mathematics.

Welcome to Tutoring for Grades Kindergarten - 6, where we embark on a journey to elevate your child's math skills to new heights!

Our mission is to provide tailored support and guidance to your child in Grades Kindergarten - Grade 6, helping them build a strong foundation in mathematics while boosting their confidence and problem-solving abilities. 

In this engaging, one-to-one class, we focus on mastering key math concepts essential to their grade-level curriculum. Each session is personalized to cater to individual learning styles and needs, ensuring that every student receives the attention they deserve to be successful in learning math concepts.

Examples of Math Content that can be taught:

Kindergarten: Counting, Number Sense, Adding & Subtraction to 10, Patterns, etc.
1st: Skip-counting, Addition & Subtraction, Place Value, Fractions, Analog and Digital Clocks 
2nd: Adding & Subtracting to 100, Measuring, Place Value, etc.
3rd: Multiplication Facts to 10, Dividing Groups, Fractions, etc
4th: Decimals and Fractions, Dividing, Addition & Subtraction, Area, Multiplying 2-Digit by 2-Digit Numbers, etc
5th: Graphing Points on a Coordinate Plane, Adding Fractions, Volume, etc
6th: Graphing, Understanding Integers, Rates and Ratios, Word Problems, Equivalent Expressions, etc

Please Note: The teacher will reach out to the parent to gain an understanding of their needs, and their child's needs and plan lessons according to parent input. If the parents are unsure or do not provide the information, the teacher will make informal assessments and plan the session(s) to help the student improve their skills.

Parental Guidance
During sessions, we may use the following tools to enhance the lesson: Kahoot, Nearpod, and IXL Learning
Supply List
If the student does not have access to the annotate tools, they will need a whiteboard, marker, and eraser to work together in class. A pencil and paper is also needed.
