During our sessions, we will work on whatever your learner is currently learning in their math class. Let me know ahead of time which skills you'd like to learn, and I can prepare a lesson for extra practice. Or bring your questions and/or homework to the session and we'll work together! I can't wait to work with your kiddo and spread my love of math to someone new! Some topics we can work on during your session: -patterning -number recognition -drawing numbers -addition up to 10 -addition with 1-digit, 2-digit, and 3-digit numbers -subtraction up to 10 -subtraction with 1-digit, 2-digit, and 3-digit numbers -place value (ones, tens, hundreds) -multi-digit multiplication -long division -decimals -fractions -algebra -caluclus -trig -geometry

I have trained in Orton-Gillingham approach to Math, which is designed to support kids with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, Etc
Supply List
Pen and paper or a whiteboard with a marker would be ideal. Or a stylus so they can annotate on the zoom screen.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I have a mathematics degree and over 10 years of experience tutoring and teaching elementary and middle school math concepts. I also have training in Orton-Gillingham approach to Mathematics.
I try to lead the student to the answers by asking questions, taking a step back to what they already know and guiding them to how it applies to the new topic.
