Class Experience

I have been in special education for the last 11 years. I have extensive experience teaching individualized small group math lessons for students in kindergarten - 5th grade. The purpose of these small group lessons were to teach students foundational skills in order to successfully learn grade-level content. As an Educational Diagnostician, I use formal testing to determine student's areas of need and the underlining cause of their learning difficulties. I then develop individualized interventions and plans to support their learning needs.
For younger or hands-on learners please provide access to manipulatives. This could be something as simple as crayons or Lego pieces to count and manipulate while working out problems. Additionally, students will need paper and pencils.
45 minutes per class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In class, I will primarily use google slides and the on-screen writing feature.
