Beginner - Advanced Level
This is an on- demand class that will focus on the specific needs of the learner. Students will enjoy the fun world of math through games, worksheets and tools such as rulers, clocks or making fraction strips, etc., We will cover the following Common Core Standards for Math: Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Number and Operations in Base Ten, Measurement and Data, Geometry. Our lessons will include Analyzing bar graphs and picture graphs, Addition and Subtraction with regrouping, Solving worded problems, Reading and writing numbers, Measurement using a ruler, Telling time and much more. Parents will also have the opportunity to request a topic that they would like their learner to focus on.
Learning Goals
Understand and use place value system.
Develop frequency in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Solve worded problems.
Measure and estimate lengths in standard units.Other Details
Parental Guidance
Students may need assistance with using clocks for telling time and using scissors for cutting fraction strips.
