Not only do I LOVE math, but I love helping students grow to love math. In this 40-minute class, I am available to help your student with whatever math help he or she might need. Our class may consist of: homework help, tutoring, reteaching from being absent or to help with struggling lessons to help close gaps, or extra practice to build confidence. On a daily basis, I teach fifth grade math. However, I would love to help any students needing help from Kindergarten through fifth grade. I would love to have the opportunity to help your student in the one-on-one class.

Welcome to my profile! My name is Jennifer, and I am looking forward to meeting you! I love teaching new things to anyone willing to learn! I have 2 daughters. My older daughter is in 10th grade and loves to sing. My younger daughter is in 6th grade and loves to tumble. We stay pretty busy with their schedules and taking care of our 3 dogs, Kozar, Marley, and Roscoe!
Math is by far my favorite subject. However, I also love teaching STEM classes. I love experiments! We do lots of experiments at my house to learn how things work! I also love teaching how to make crafts. I enjoy making crafts with my own girls! This is a great way to spend time together or to make something special for someone you care about!
I graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2005 with my Bachelors of Science Degree. After teaching in the classroom for several years, I went back to school to get my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University in 2011. I am currently on year 19 of teaching.
My goal in life is to be a lifelong-learner. I strive to teach this concept to my own children and students. I want my students to be confident and comfortable in class. I want us to have fun together and learn from each other! We should never give up on learning or settle for where we are. We should always want to know more or why. I want to instill the love of learning in others.
When I am not in my classroom, my favorite thing to do is cruising! I LOVE going on cruises with my family. We love going to new places and meeting new people! I love being in the middle of the ocean and seeing nothing but water all around me. A few summers ago we went to Ocho Rios. We were able to climb a waterfall. I had the best time. I was a little scared, but felt so proud of myself once I made it to the top of the waterfall. One of the reasons that I love cruising so much is that it makes me get out of my comfort zone. It makes me try new things! New experiences, new foods, new places.....I have so many great memories all from cruising!
I am so excited to meet you in the classroom. We will have fun learning together!
