What's included

Meets on Demand
schedule meetings as needed
45 mins
per session
Teacher support
Homework
1 hour per week. At the conclusion of each session, I will provide students with a short practice exercise. These can be as simple and hands-on as keeping a log of things around them to discuss at our next meeting to a worksheet to practice new skills. These assignments will be something the learner to complete independently and should never take more than 20 minutes.
Assessment
I will communicate assessment results with parents on a biweekly basis. Some assessments will be mere observation of the skills learned, while others will be a more formal test to see if your child is making progress.

Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 3
In this one-on-one course, learners and their families will choose from a list of topics they want or need specific instruction in. Specific learning targets can include:
Telling time
Addition/Subtraction
Number Sense and Place Value (understanding the "basics" of numbers as a foundation)
Multiplication/Division
Fractions
Geometry

Can't decide what your child needs? I can provide families with an assessment to give their learner before we meet. Once this is complete, families can return these to me and I can tailor our sessions to meet their needs.
The beauty of one-on-one tutoring means that I can design our time together based on your child's preferences and learning styles. If chants and games are their thing, let me know. A no-nonsense paper and pencil learner? Fine with me! I promise to get to know your child as quickly as possible so we can make the most of our time together.
