Description
Class Experience
In this ongoing class, I will walk students through the skills needed to understand and confidently answer problems in Pre-Algebra. I will demonstrate the steps needed to solve the problem and have the students watch. Then the students will work through several problems with me and be encouraged to talk me through solving the problems. After this, students will be able to do our last few problems of the class on their own using the steps we've practiced. As students get stuck or held up on...
By the end of the ongoing course, learners will be able to answer Pre-Algebra problems confidently .
I'm a certified math teacher and have taught middle school math for 8 years. I've worked with students who have learning disabilities as well as students who are gifted.
Worksheets will be provided to practice but not required to complete.
Paper, pencil, calculator a few weeks into the course and a good attitude :)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
